All Commercial Legal Protection Policyholders are reminded that:

It is a condition of your policy that you seek guidance from the DAS Claims Department prior to serving notice of redundancy on any employee.

Furthermore, if you are a Commercial Legal Protection Policyholder and intend to dismiss an employee due to unacceptable conduct or performance you must follow the ACAS Code of Disciplinary Practice and Procedures in Employment, or seek and follow legal advice from legal advisors.

Commercial Legal Protection Policyholders are also required to contact DAS for legal advice at the earliest time they become aware of a dispute arising from a breach of statutory duties to employees.

Failure to comply with these conditions will mean that the Compensation Awards will not be paid under the policy.
